• Selection of things I loved working on recently

AI For Good Hackathon • 2023

My teammate Varun and I dropped by at 10 pm out of curiosity and to check out which cool things people were hacking, and decided to stay for the night. Got to pitch a very very rough half idea half prototype. We didn’t have by any means a decent hack but the idea was worth starting on and continuing at some point: building a map feature that helps you identify shelter, food, family members, first aid points etc. in unstable areas (like war-torn areas, natural disaster events, etc.)

People
• Shoutout to Varun for doing the coding heavy lifting all night on a time crunch, pitching to a judge and right after hopping on his flight back home.
Yash brainstormed the idea with us on our commute.
• The scale of impact at which InternetActivism people think is great, good to see that hacking on social impact remains a thing

AI Hackathon UC Berkeley • 2023

  • Hacked on a fun AI-edtech prototype offering context-customized literary style transfers. Contributed code, product, content and design.

  • 1 out of 10 finalists in a 250-team, 1200-participant competition. Garnered funding interest from a major edtech firm.

People

Gently inspired by “Public Experiments”. Shoutout to my team Mukundh, Adnan and Pasha, for laughing through the night and for the intellectual curiosity.

FastInterviews • 2023

  • Building an AI-powered recruiting app, leading product, and growth, designing UI/UX, and prioritizing features based on customer research such as ranking employees for outreach based on relevant characteristics.

  • Incredibly inspired by how LLMs have the potential to improve well-being and level the playing field for many. We built a simple product to solve a problem we knew well: students and new grads spend a lot of time on recruiting logistics, which takes away time and space from building skills and character.

People

Incredible team and friends: Daniela, Adnan, Yash, Varun, Elliot. They should put their sharp skills and strong spirit into building something full-time, a shark bite (vs mosquito) solution, and with a strong pmf. I would invest in a heartbeat.
